Jaws
The smart & fast way to fix your AWS headaches
After having the idea, I researched a few landing page creators and started to create my page with Unicorn Platform, which amazed me on how simple it makes the process.
Now I'm about to launch the page here in Indiehackers. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow!
Jaws comes from my love-hate relationship with AWS. Despite being an experienced developer, sometimes I struggled doing some simple tasks in AWS. For example, setting an S3 bucket with specific policies, or move a simple function to Lambda and serve it through API gateway, are super powerful tools and simple enough once you've done it once or twice. But for the first timer, it might take hours of research to understand all the moving parts.
That's why I created Jaws, to help busy people to get their tech up and running in AWS for a transparent and modest fee.

I know the pain. I like the idea.
I think one of things I'd like get from such a service is not just get the job done, but also learning for the next time. Otherwise I will have a full dependency in the service and that is something I can't afford (financially and business wise)-

Good feedback, I was thinking of adding a "Mentor" plan, where the developer sends you a screencast on how to do it, this would also create "trust" since you don't need to give access to your AWS account. What kind of tasks have you had difficulties in the past with?

I'm not on AWS, I use GCP and Cloudflare.
But the pain is the same, I guess.
Every time I start something new, there's a learning curve.
For a side project I would not use this, because I always try to do as much as possible on my own and using free tier services.
But if I had a startup I think this is valuable as it shortens the time to market and gives you the confidence that you're doing things right.
