Introducing JayDee AI

In Jan 23 I couldn't help but cave into to the wild craze that was fast becoming the AI wave. ChatGPT had recently launched, and it seemed noone before that even knew that OpenAI had an API, let alone had used it.

Now I had dived a few times into building with AI, including an half-built a Chrome extension that predicted what emoji's you need after your next typed characther - instead of Googling every time you need one - (still a great idea IMO). But I really wanted to build an actual product that would solve an issue. So while waiting to board a flight in Jan, I whipped up a boilerplate rails app and JayDee was born.

I dedicated the entire following weekend to learn everything I could about AI (mostly by asking ChatGPT 'Tell me everything I need to know about AI' of course), and continued to build the product.

A couple of months, a few users and some feedback later, JayDee AI is here and growing.

Excited to see this be useful to people 🙏
