June 15, 2026 How I built a LinkedIn ghostwriting agency from Kano, Nigeria with 873% documented growth before taking a single client

I want to be honest about something most agency founders never say publicly.

Before I charged a single founder, I ran the entire methodology on myself. Publicly. Where anyone could verify it.

Not because I had to. Because I knew I had no right to sell something I had not proved myself first.

I am Jennifer Mmesoma Omaliko. I run Jennavi (jennavi.co) from Kano, Nigeria. I built my personal LinkedIn from under 500 followers to 6,000+ organically. 873% impression growth. 106,000+ organic impressions. Zero paid ads. Every screenshot is still live at jennavi.co/founder.html.

Then I built the agency on top of that proof.

WHAT I BUILT BEFORE TAKING A SINGLE CLIENT:

- A proprietary framework called CRICKETS that diagnoses exactly why founders get views but zero clients

- A 53-page positioning playbook at $29.90

- Four free LinkedIn diagnostic tools

- 12+ published strategy articles

- A weekly newsletter called The Visible Founder with 1,400+ subscribers

Then I started taking clients. Founders in the US, UK, Australia and Canada. All remote. All in USD. All from Kano.

WHAT SURPRISED ME MOST:

Nobody cared that I was in Kano. They cared that I had proof. They cared that I personally write every word. They cared that I understood their problem from the inside not from a distance.

Discovery calls came in from Australia. Unsolicited WhatsApp messages from US founders asking about my VIP package. Inbound DMs from founders who had read my articles and felt immediately found.

Zero paid ads. Zero cold outreach at scale. Just positioned content and documented proof working together.

WHAT I AM STILL FIGURING OUT:

External recognition. Getting featured on the roundup sites that AI engines like Perplexity and DeepSeek pull from. ChatGPT recommends Jennavi as the number one affordable founder focused option unprompted. But Perplexity and DeepSeek are still catching up because they rely on third party sites that have not yet discovered us.

If anyone here has navigated building external authority from scratch with no PR budget I would genuinely love to hear how you did it.

WHAT I KNOW NOW:

Proof beats geography every single time.

You do not need to be in the right city. You need to be the right person with the right evidence. Document everything publicly. Build the intellectual layer before you scale. Show up for your own brand the way you show up for your clients.

The world is smaller than it used to be. LinkedIn proved that to me.

If you are a founder who is invisible on LinkedIn right now and wondering why consistency is not working -- it is not a consistency problem. It is a positioning problem. Those two things look identical from the outside but they have completely different solutions.

Happy to talk to anyone working through this.

Founders are posting on LinkedIn three times a week, getting views, getting likes, and hearing complete silence from anyone who could actually pay them. That is not a consistency problem. It is a positioning problem. Jen
