JiffyCV

After running the beta in order to get initial feedback on the app from potential users and spending the christmas break from my day job making further improvements and paying off technical debt we decided to submit the app for release to the app store.

As we're using Expo and React Native to build the app we're a little removed from some of submission process than we might be, if for instance we used Xcode to develop an iOS app so there were a bit of a back and forth with Apple over some permissions strings that needed to be added to our app.json file.

Just before New Years we had the app approved by Apple and on the 3rd of January Google gave us the thumbs up so we quickly set up a launch sale to tie in with potential user's new year resolutions.

Launched beta for JiffyCV with around 30 beta testers.

After fixing a couple of initial bugs the app stabilised and initial feedback was positive.

Followed up with a post-beta survey of the testers which gave us a good steer of where to take the product next.
