Introducing Jim Designs

I’ve turned my 10+ years of experience in building and designing SaaS products into a productized service, called Jim Designs.
Jim Designs is a subscription-based, one-person design agency for SaaS and Web Apps only, providing premium designs, unlimited requests, and revisions, for one flat monthly fee.
I've already onboarded 4 customers into this model, pacing at $1380 MRR. So still a side project for now, but planning to go all in at some point.

Hey @JimDesigns, I really like this type of subscription service. It's a good business model to charge monthly instead of per project as it forces the client to stick with you month after month and if you keep the quality up and show consistency in the value they get from day one they will want to continue.
The only problem I see with your website is that you're trying to hide who you are and what is your experience working with design. The lack of social links, a picture with your face, social proof links like Behance or Dribble, etc. makes me not want to try the service even if the price is low.
I believe that founders should use their network and social media accounts to promote their products and add a face to the product if they want to build trust with their audience.
It does not matter where you're from (even if not from New York as you mention) or how you look like, but being genuine is the minimum requirement for me at least to use a service.
PS: I used a similar service but stopped because the delays to complete the requests increased a lot as the number of clients grew, making it cheaper to hire a developer internally or working with freelance designers, so balance is important for this kind of service.
When it's time to grow, instead of relying only on just yourself, I would encourage you to build a team and promote each member of your team on the website and keep the service the same, but then you can scale everything by adding new team members without increasing the load on one person.-

Yes, I really believe this is a win-win model. I'm not trying to hide anything, I'm just one of these many many guys who prefers to use avatars instead of actual pictures online 😅 That's all, but I definitely see your point, I'm gonna add my social links there.Just out of curiosity, what do you think is a reasonable turnaround time for such a service? Talking about product design specifically here.

Hi there @JimDesigns - looks good. How are you going to prevent what normally does with these 'unlimited' design services where the quality drops with the increase of business? Genuine question and not trying to troll you!

Hey Ade, great question! The way to go is to limit the number of customers you onboard from the start. Easier said than done, especially when you have customers knocking at the door, but that's the idea. I calculated the average time I spend on each request and extrapolated from there the maximum number of customers I could onboard at capacity.

Thanks @JimDesigns. Naturally later you need to think of how to scale it, or you pivot to something else. I was just curious as I see these and think they look very interesting and although we have our own in-house designer I am curious if this would also help us to move forward on some stalled projects. Thanks again!
