Jobari
Tools for a Smarter Job Search
Earlier this year I got laid off after 25 years in tech and had to jump back into the job market for the first time in decades. The first thing that I noticed when I started searching for a job is that It’s a completely different world now.
Everything is automated, competitive, and exhausting. Every application needs to be tailored, tracked, rewritten, and optimized. It quickly felt like a full-time job just trying to get a job.
After a few months of going through it myself, I started building the tools I wish I had while searching.
That turned into Jobari, a set of AI-powered tools to help with resume building, cover letters, interview prep, resume tailoring, application tracking, ATS conversion, and document management (to stay organized during a search). Nothing revolutionary, just practical stuff that actually helps when you’re in the middle of the modern job search.
I’m building it while still job hunting myself, so I’m basically the first test user.
Right now I’m just trying to get it in front of real people, keep improving it, and see where it goes. If anyone else here is building something while job searching (or working on tools in the career space), I’d love to hear what you’re doing.

First, respect. Re-entering the job market after 25 years and deciding to build while searching takes real resilience.
The pain you describe is real. Modern job hunting is fragmented and exhausting. A practical toolset instead of hype makes sense.
A few things I’d think about early:
• Since you’re handling resumes, work history, and possibly sensitive interview notes, are documents encrypted at rest and isolated per user?
• If you use third-party LLM APIs for tailoring or prep, are user documents retained or used for training? Clear disclosure will matter.
• Do users have full export and permanent delete control over their data?
• How transparent are you about what is heuristic vs. what is tested against real ATS systems?
Career tools live or die on trust. People upload their full professional identity into them.
We’re a security-focused team, which is why we ask these questions. We built Nautillo Pro for founders who care about web app security and want to test their exposure early. There’s a free version available if you ever want an external check on your app’s security posture as it grows.
