Improving accuracy over automation
One thing I've noticed while testing other autofill tools is that speed often comes at the cost of accuracy. Some extensions fill fields incorrectly and even submit forms automatically with wrong information.
For JobLog, I decided to take a different approach.
Right now, my main focus is improving autofill accuracy across different ATS platforms. JobLog stores data locally, fills forms automatically, but always lets the user review everything before submitting. Nothing is sent without the user's confirmation.
I'd rather help someone submit one correct application than ten incorrect ones.
Improving compatibility and accuracy across Workday and other job application platforms will continue to be my highest priority. If you've encountered a form that doesn't fill correctly, I'd love to hear about it.
Building JobLog: a Chrome extension that saves hours on job applications
I built JobLog because I got tired of filling out the same information every time I applied for a job. Whether it was Workday, Greenhouse, ICIMS, or another ATS, I kept entering the same work history, education, and personal details over and over again.
JobLog autofills repetitive application fields in one click, helping job seekers apply faster while reducing repetitive work.
The extension is already live in the Chrome Web Store, and I'm continuing to improve compatibility with more applicant tracking systems and application forms.

The interesting opportunity isn't helping people submit more job applications—it's helping them submit applications they can trust are correct. I'd keep validating whether users adopt JobLog because it saves time or because accuracy and review before submission give them more confidence in every application.

Congrats on shipping. I like the direction of prioritizing accuracy over pure speed. With autofill tools, a single wrong field can easily destroy trust because users stop wondering "will this save me time?" and start wondering "what else did it fill incorrectly?" Getting people to trust the extension is probably the bigger challenge than making it faster.
