December 21, 2022 Journal official 1.0 release is here 🎉

Daily journaling just got a lot better! 🎉

I’m super proud to share the official launch of Journal app for macOS.
Last 12 months were intense! I started working on Journal in January 2022. Thanks to all beta tester who helped improve journaling experience!

New features:

Prompts
Prompts can help inspire and motivate you to start writing, or simply give you a starting point if you're not sure what to write about.

Tags
Tags are labels or keywords that help you describe and organize entries. A tag could be something like “Family”, “100daysofcode”, or an emoji e.g. “😍”.

More color themes
Now you can choose from 4 color themes (plus font faces and sizes), so you can easily create a look and feel that suits your personal preferences.

Export entries in markdown.
You own your data and you can download it any time in text or JSON format. However, all entries are automatically synced with the cloud, so you don’t have to make backups.

June 9, 2022 ✍️ Journal Beta for macOS is here!

This is Zero to Beta of Journal
⁃55 days of coding
⁃130 commits
⁃4.9k lines of code

🚀 The goal of Journal is to create a single, uncluttered and beautiful place for your journals. I’ve struggled myself to have such a place, which is the reason why Journal was made. Stoics knew that journaling calms and clears your mind, which is especially important in a noisy world we live in.

💻 Starting with offline mode, cloud encryption at rest (AES 256-bit) and of course, dark mode – let’s give this app a try! I’d love to hear your feedback! You can use the 'Give feedback' button in the app or just reply to this email.
