jsonox 🛰
CLI based RESTful JSON server + store written in Rust
Being my first #Rust project, it took me a while to setup and implement jsonox. I started learning Rust a few days back. It didn't seem like I could pull this off within a month of learning. But as it turned out, I fell in love with the language and quickly picked up the concepts.
Soon I started off with #Actix (the fastest web framework after #Drogon). I was able to implement simple APIs quickly. It then struct me that a FASTEST WEB SERVER + FASTEST JSON SERIALIZER would be the perfect combo for a JSON rest server for mocking and testing in API engineering!
This is how the idea of "jsonox" was born. The term "jsonox" is derived from "json oxide". "Oxide" because it is developed using "Rust" 😆.
jsonox 🛰 is now released on GitHub for multiple platforms:
Linux, MacOS, Windows and even the Raspberry PI (Armv7).
It is one of my first open source projects.. do check it out! Feedback is appreciated!
About
Jsonox 🛰 boosts API engineering by providing a simulated (mock) back-end for hosting JSON data. It stores the JSON data posted to it as an API endpoint and also constructs routes based on the stored file structure.
