Writing about acquistion strategies
My weekly newsletter on company acquisitions got its 10th subscriber! Rewarding to see, even if still only a few, people enjoy to read them and learn about a field most people don't really know much about.
The obvious tip here is to pitch your friends and get them to sign up. It makes you more committed to actually get the content out on your schedule and keep continuity and adhere to a minimum quality bar in your work.
Also, interesting all my readers are not in my field of work but still find it valuable and interesting. Since most of them are founders they value learning about the acquisition process since one day they might sell their own companies.
Launched my weekly newsletter!
I will write learnings about how to evaluate M&A deals but also what we can learn about companies based on their acquisitions.
I want to first write a couple based on my own experience and then bring in external experts for a broader perspective as well.
Looking forward to providing perspective and write on a weekly basis.

Thank you Naveen for both the tips and the support. I'll make sure to check out the Slack channel and connect with others in the field.
Building newsletter audience is a long journey. Keep doing what you are doing. Good luck!!
Hi Upenv,
Thank you — the good thing is I am writing them out of my own curiosity and finding similar-minded people who want to follow them is a bonus. Therefore I'll keep at it for the longer term :)
Kudos for your achievement. Your topic seems attractive. How did you market it? Did you announce it on dedicated subreddits? Facebook public page? Telegram channels? Specific forums/websites? Pretty sure you can double or triple that number in a really short time. I just checked and I guess you could improve the signup form, explaining on the same page what about your newsletter is. It seems you want to call it Henrik's newsletter. It's less straightforward and markatable than "Acquisitions strategy" imho. But maybe your name is already famous in your field, in that case it could be a better choice.
Hi Chaica,
Thank you for your input — I have not done any real marketing except pitching it to people I meet live who are interested at this point.
Good idea regarding changing the name. To me it was more important to get started writing than tweaking the name and details but will think about a better name.
