Challenge friends, get strong

June 22, 2026 I built a minimalist app to turn isometrics into a friends/family challenge. No gym, no kit and perfect for those who struggle to excercise

I wanted a simple way to work out with my family. Something straightforward we could all do together at home without needing a gym or buying tons of equipment. Isometric holds like Planks, Dead Hangs, and Wall Sits fit perfectly as they're simple to understand, time efficient, easy to measure, you can do them almost anywhere and you can see your body improve quickly.

To make it fun and keep us accountable, I built justhold.app. It's a clean, zero-bloat web app where you can log in with Google Auth, track your holds, and challenge friends or family on a live leaderboard.

I just launched it and current traffic is sitting at absolute zero. I’d love for some fellow indie hackers to take a look, try a quick plank, and give me some brutal feedback:

  1. Is the sign-up flow smooth?

  2. What features should I add next to make it even more motivating?

Thanks for checking it out.

One thing I'd be careful with:

The challenge can sometimes look like the thing creating consistency when it's actually revealing consistency that was already there.

Those can produce very similar early signals.

That's the part I'd be most curious about.

      Good point! Thanks Aryan

        Glad it resonated.

I'm curious what made that distinction relevant for you. Is it something you've already run into while building, or more of a hypothesis you're trying to test?

Hadn't really thought about it. For me personally it has helped keep the habit going as I easily have access to the workout history and the kids want to see their progress. If it can help others get that from it too then that would be great.

            That's interesting.

The reason I asked is that those can lead to very different product decisions over time, even if the early user behavior looks the same.

I have a couple of thoughts on how I'd separate them, but they're easier to explain than squeeze into a thread.

If you're interested, what's the best email to reach you on?
