May 2020 Finished grammar for the first lexer for filter

I would like users to specify conditions to filter out results. Something like

brand: "apple" AND price < 3999

However this is not possible without a grammar and Lexer. Thus I just learned how to do that in ANTLR.

ANTLR is pretty cool which really re-taught me my compiler knowledge from colleague. Now kalasearch.cn can handle easy filters.

Note I haven't tested how fast the parsing is. If it's slow, I'd rather remove the dependency on ANTLR since all searches should be within 100ms

May 25, 2020 Worked on blogs for search relevant content

Just published two pieces of blog and invited a few indiehackers to review them. Looks like some of the hackers are interested and we might just get our first trial very soon.

The writing part is actually very enjoyable (I love writing) but the out-reaching part is tedious and time consuming. I wish I could have more time to code but obviously coding only get us so far :)

Checkout our blog at kalasearch.cn/blog though it's mostly in Chinese currently

May 23, 2020 Set up the website

Finally set up the website. Now we have a fully function gatsby site which serves documentation and blogs.

We started working on some useful tutorials related to search engine and adding more to the blog. I also hired someone to take on many of the burden off my shoulder so I can concentrate more
