Let’s be honest: the state of gym tracking is broken.

A few months ago, I was standing in the middle of a crowded gym, trying to log my heavy set of squats. But there were two major problems:

  1. The Dead Zone: My gym is basically a concrete bunker. Data signal? Non-existent. Most "modern" apps just spin their loading wheels until they crash or lose my data.

  2. The Paywall: I looked into the popular alternatives like Hevy and Strong. They are great apps, but $15/month just to track my progress? That’s more than some people pay for their entire gym membership.

I tried going "old school" with a notebook and pen, but I’ll be real—fumbling with a physical journal between sets felt clunky, and I felt like a librarian in a power rack.

The "Aha" Moment

I realized I didn't need social feeds, AI coaching, or a monthly subscription. I just needed a fast, reliable, and offline-first way to log my lifts.

That’s why I started building KASRAT.

What is KASRAT?

I built this for the lifters who just want to get in, log their work, and get out. No fluff, no "searching for signal" mid-workout, and no predatory pricing.

My goals for this project are simple:

  • Offline-First: It works in the basement gyms where data goes to die.

  • Blazing Fast: Logging a set should take 2 seconds, not 2 minutes.

  • Affordable: No $15/month nonsense.

Why I’m posting here

I’m officially launching the first version today! I’m curious—how many of you have ditched apps for notebooks (or vice-versa) because of the "subscription fatigue"?

I’d love for you to check out KASRAT and let me know what features actually matter to you in a tracker.

About

Gym signal is trash, and paying $15/month for basic logging apps is a scam. Plus, carrying a notebook and pen is a hassle and can be embarrassing. I built KASRAT to provide a better, more affordable way to track progress
