December 8, 2023 Sonoma fixed Major Bluetooth Bug

After a long "Year of Ventura" KeyPad is back in business. Apple maade major changes in the bluetooth stack in 12.3 which broke my app. With Ventura, it completely broke the ability to emulate a bluetooth device.

With Sonoma, Apple has fixed two bugs (there is a third but who's counting). With this my app can again work.

KeyPad lets you use your Mac keyboard as a bluetooth keyboard (and Mouse) for the iPhone, iPad, another mac, and Android Phone, other devices...

I had stopped development for the past year or so. Downloads have started again, and there is still hope for a life for the app. Give it a shot...

June 15, 2020 Added support for Mouse

Keypad is no longer just a keyboard, it also supports a mouse. Users with an iPad or iPhone can connect to KeyPad with their Mac keyboard and mouse.

The feedback has been awesome. Why buy a $179 keyboard and mouse when you can just use your Mac. Now I need to make this app visible.

May 26, 2020 Added support for multiple devices

Released 0.95 with support for multiple devices. Now you can use the app to connect to all your devices, and switch between them. Just one step away from version 1.00. Added support for some more TVs.

I changed the tagline... one keyboard to rule them all!

March 25, 2020 MacOS 10.15.4 Fixed the bug

The release of MacOS 10.15.4 was a relief. It fixed the bluetooth bug and my app was back in business. I have started working on more features for the app.

I am now able to talk about the app online. Users have started downloading the app and are using it. KeyPad has a life after all.

January 25, 2020 A MacOS bug broke my app

MacOS 10.15.3 had a bug in the bluetooth implementation that killed my app. Funny, my app would refuse to connect to any iOS device, but continue to work with android and TVs.

I stopped further development. I just had to wait till the bug got fixed.

January 14, 2020 Launched KeyPad

It took me six weeks but I was able to complete my MVP. The app is simple, you can connect it to a phone, apple tv, any device that supports a keyboard, and any key you type in the app goes to the connected device.

This is the first app I have put on the app store ever.
