Reimagining Literature
The game reached 10K + downloads organically. This game is a literature based game hence the audience becomes limited. However, its reviews helped the game reach a good amount of audience organically. We see the potential of the platform to build many more games around classic literature in the future.
We launched our game with all stories from Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, as a paid game on Play store and iOS.
It was a struggle because we were running behind the schedule and we had faced many issues in the way. For example, there was a react native update which broke lot of functionality in the game and we had to redo a lot of stuff. It was our goal to publish our game before Christmas holidays. Somehow, we did it.

We had put our first story out to gather feedback and data from users. And we realized that we need to make the game even more interesting and that is where the whole idea of interactivity came from. We said, what if the user directly assists Mr.Sherlock in the cases.
That meant, redoing the stories, adding the code for that functionality, testing etc. We hardly had a month in hand but that looked like an essential feature to add.

I picked up 'Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' to read once again. And that got me thinking that how many young readers are reading all these books. The new fiction that is coming up, is quite different. Especially, being from India, the standards of upcoming fiction is very low.
So, I went to my co-founder [we were already in the process of brainstorming various ideas] and I said, can we gamify this book. It will be nice if we make it interesting and fun for young readers to read.
That's how it all began.
