I was burnt out. It only took two years of working in San Francisco for me hit this point. I felt like I was on a solid career path (frontend dev/design), but I couldn't stop asking myself - "is this it?" The career path, the money, the lifestyle - I could see my future clearly, and it didn't make me happy.

I had to leave.

I quit my job, booked a one-way ticket to Southeast Asia, and gave myself space to recalibrate my life goals.
