To show up in the answer, you need to be in the source.

July 12, 2026 Why your brand is invisible to ChatGPT — and what I'm building to fix it

Hey IH 👋

I'm the founder of Kollavo, and I want to share the problem that's been keeping me up at night.

The shift nobody's pricing in: SEO gave us 20 years of playbooks. But your customers aren't just Googling anymore — they're asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini. And when they ask "what's the best tool for X?", the LLM picks winners from its training data and cited sources.

If your brand isn't in the source, you don't exist in the answer.

What I noticed:

  • Most founders have no idea whether LLMs mention them

  • Traditional SEO tools track Google rankings, not model outputs

  • "Being on page 1" means nothing if the AI never quotes you

  • There's no Ahrefs / SEMrush equivalent for the LLM era — yet

What Kollavo is doing about it: We're building the visibility layer for the AI answer economy — tracking how your brand shows up across LLMs, identifying the sources models actually cite, and giving founders a playbook to become one of them.

Where I'm at:

  • Problem validated through [X] conversations with founders

  • Building MVP

  • Looking for 10 design partners who want to see how they currently rank in LLM answers (free)

My ask for IH:

  1. Does this resonate? Have you checked whether ChatGPT mentions your product?

  2. What would you want a tool like this to tell you first?

  3. If you want to be a design partner, drop a comment 👇

Building in public from day 0. Follow along — I'll share revenue, learnings, and the wins/losses here weekly.

I think the interesting shift is that visibility is moving from ranking in search results to being part of an AI's reasoning process.

If founders can't understand why their brand appears—or doesn't appear—in AI answers, that's a much bigger problem than tracking mentions alone.
