Helps copying information from invoices in PDF attachments

July 11, 2021 Started building an MVP

Finally validated the technical part and started building an MVP. The trick is that the hardest part of the solution, parsing PDF invoices, is already done by a Lithuanian API service, Ivesk.lt. All I need to do is get an attachment from the user's account, send it for parsing, and store the parsed data. When the user opens a page for filling the data, they will be able to insert it with a single click.

If/when the project becomes bigger, I'll probably have to build my own system for parsing invoices, but for now I'm so lucky to have it!

June 12, 2021 First user interview

I have confirmed my hypothesis that freelance accountants spend their days copying data from PDF attachments that their clients send them and pasting them into online accounting systems.

Yes, I know that a single interview is not enough for proper validation of a "big" startup, but it might probably be enough for a side project that aims for 100 paying users.
