Kotaru
Your links, notes & pages — Build Your Second Brain
I just got a co founder who will be handling all the operations and marketing. We are rethinking the entire platform. The expected launch will be Jan mid.
The app has grown a lot both feature wise and efficiency.
Now, the inclination is towards making a personal knowledge base with a blog and running a newsletter out of your personal blog, probably a micro newsletters.
Hey Indie Hackers!
These few days were very productive. I am half done with the features of Kotaru and the landing page is also ready.
I showed the page to a few experienced hackers, they gave a good response. Though I spent a lot of time on it, I think I can't afford to give more focus to landing page.
So the options to write pages and take notes are ready, I built a markdown editor with live preview. Everything is responsive!!
Other than that, I am all set with the beta mechanism. I have set up a google form, the users will get a code which they can enter on my website to unlock the login page.
I didn't thought it would be that easy to build a system to manage beta users.
Hopefully I will be able to get done with all the necessary features by this week and launch the beta program by next week.
I think, I am missing out on advertisement of the landing page so to get signups for beta access. I am quite focused on development right now so will start proper advertisement by next week.
At side, I have been showing the progress to a lot of people on my Instagram, Twitter and Discord.

I am always fascinated with the stories of founders and the pictures, videos and writings from their initial journey.
So I decided to start documenting my journey of building Kotaru, and everything else in life.
It was a bit hectic to make videos so I went with podcasting as of now.

Hey everyone!
I started building Kotaru with a simple problem statement in mind, "I want to be able to save links of the content I find insightful, take quick notes & sync them together to manage my knowledge better" and ya, I want to make a few notes public all from one workspace.
I find the current applications very overwhelming and they have a lot of friction when it comes to actually go and write down stuff. It
In the search of a perfect according to my needs, I decided to build one!
