SCORM Courses: Buy off the Shelf or Build with AI in mins

Visit Website
July 29, 2026 Building SCORM courses in 2026 shouldn't feel like using software from 2006.

If you've ever worked in L&D or HR tech, you know the routine:

  • You need an interactive 15-minute compliance or training module.

  • You open up legacy authoring software.

  • 3 weeks, 40 hours of formatting, and $2,000 later... you finally export a zip file to upload to your LMS.

The traditional e-learning stack is bloated and slow.

We built Kriya Stack to give teams two fast tracks to deliver quality training:

Track 1: Generate interactive AI training from your existing videos or notes in minutes.

Track 2: Skip building entirely and download ready-to-use, off-the-shelf SCORM courses.

No complex learning curve, full WCAG accessibility, and instant compatibility with every major LMS.

July 11, 2025 We Didn't Set Out to Build This But Here's What Changed Everything.

We didn’t start out building an authoring tool.

In fact, we began with animated learning content. As Kriya Stack, our first few projects involved designing custom explainer videos and motion graphics for schools and corporate L&D teams. We loved the storytelling. We loved making concepts visual and simple.

But something kept coming up. Over and over again.

"This video is great… but how do we make it interactive?"

Every client wanted to do more with their videos. Make them part of a course. Add questions. Track learning. Export SCORM. Share on LMS platforms. But when they tried the tools available…

They hit walls. Clunky UX. Overcomplicated editors. And don’t even get me started on SCORM exports that feel like disarming a bomb.

That’s when we hit our why. We realized:

The learning experience isn’t broken because of content. It’s broken because of what happens after content is made.

So we decided to build what we wished existed. A tool that:

  • Turns any video into an interactive lesson

  • Supports micro + macro questions (quizzes during and after video)

  • Lets you export SCORM easily

  • And works in 103 languages — because learning isn’t English-only

We called it Kriya Learn.

It took us three pivots to get it right. We built internal prototypes. Tested it with existing clients. Ditched features we thought were cool but distracted from the core. And when one of our clients said:

“Wait… I can create a full training lesson in 30 mins?”

That’s when we knew we were onto something.

We’re still a small team. Still bootstrapped. Still learning. But we’re launching publicly for the first time on Product Hunt this Tuesday, July 16.

If you're in EdTech, L&D, or building learning tools yourself, we’d love your thoughts:

Building Kriya Learn has been a grind. But it’s also been worth it.

Thanks for reading. Hope you’ll check it out and tell us what you think.

July 10, 2025 What’s one thing you wish you had known before your first launch?

As a first-time founder building for L&D teams and educators, I’ve learned quickly that launching is the easy part, what follows is way messier, and more meaningful.

We are in the process to launch Kriya Learn, a platform to turn any video into interactive, SCORM-ready training in minutes. But I’d love to learn from this community too:

What’s one thing you wish you had known before your first launch?

Anything you figured out the hard way? Or that surprised you about user behavior, positioning, or feedback loops?

July 9, 2025 We Had the Content. What We Didn’t Have Was Engagement.

The more I spoke with educators and L&D folks, the more one thing became clear that E-learning is broken.

I kept hearing things like:
“We’ve got hours of content, but no idea if people are actually learning.”
“We want to make it interactive, but it takes too long or needs a dev.”
“We’re stuck with passive videos and zero feedback loops.”

If you’ve ever felt this pain, I’d love to hear from you.

What’s been your biggest struggle with video-based learning?
Is it time? Tools? Tracking outcomes? Just getting people to care?

I’m genuinely curious what it’s like on your side of the screen.

Let’s fix this together.

Hey Kumar, I’ve heard the same feedback from many educators and training teams. Content is one thing, but real engagement and measurable outcomes are the missing piece. From my own experience working with different teams (especially in healthcare and startups), the key is a tool that makes interaction seamless and tracking effortless—something that doesn’t require extra dev resources but still drives results.

Really looking forward to Kriya Learn’s impact in this space! Wishing you all the best for the upcoming launch. Happy to chat more if you ever need feedback on how these tools work in fast-paced environments like health and wellness

July 8, 2025 Hey Indie Hackers, I’m Kumar, founder of Kriya Stack

We have have built Kriya Learn — a platform to help educators and L&D teams turn passive videos into interactive, SCORM-ready training in minutes.

I’ve worked across education, training, and content, and kept seeing the same thing: Hours of videos. No retention. Zero feedback loops.
The tools that do exist are either too complex or built for teams with engineers on tap.

So I decided to build something better. Something fast, flexible, and actually fun to use.

With Kriya Learn, you can:
✅ Add interactive questions (quizzes, scenarios, crosswords) to any video
✅ Support multiple languages
✅ Track learner progress and outcomes
✅ Export SCORM-ready content in minutes — no dev required

We’re launching on Product Hunt on July 16, and I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes, lessons learned, and mistakes made right here.

Excited to meet fellow founders, makers, and misfits who are building in public. Let’s learn together.

Congratulations! I just went to your website now. Great stuff you're building. You've given me the courage to forge ahead with what my husband and I are building as well. We're trying to build a healthcare app. And whilst, I can brag to be the best brand designer ever, I'm quite at loss in the healthcare space. So, I'm just supporting him (he's a doctor, by the way). I'll encourage him to build in public like you. Thank you!

Thank you so much — that really means a lot!

I love what you and your husband are working on. Healthcare is such a meaningful (and challenging) space, and combining his medical background with your branding skills sounds like a perfect match. Total power duo.

My wife and I also left our corporate jobs to build Kriya Learn, and while it’s been a big leap, it’s also been incredibly rewarding and honestly, a lot of fun.

If there’s ever anything I can help with feedback, brainstorming, or just someone to bounce ideas off — I’d be more than happy to support however I can.

And yes, definitely encourage him to build in public! You’d be surprised how many people are quietly cheering for projects like yours. Sharing the journey makes a difference not just for others, but for you too.

Wishing you both all the best with your app. Let’s stay in touch!

    Hey Kumar,

This sounds super exciting! As someone who's spent time in education and healthcare, I’ve seen firsthand how challenging it is to get learners engaged with passive content. I love that you’re solving that issue in a way that’s not just functional but also fun and flexible!

Can’t wait to see how Kriya Learn impacts L&D teams. Looking forward to checking it out when it launches on Product Hunt. Best of luck on the launch, and excited to learn more behind-the-scenes insights.

    P.S. SCORM-ready content in minutes sounds like a game-changer!

Hey, thank you so much — this really means a lot!

You’re absolutely right , passive content is one of the biggest hurdles in both education and healthcare, and it’s incredible to hear this coming from someone who’s experienced it firsthand. That’s exactly what we’re trying to change with Kriya Learn, to make learning feel less like a checkbox and more like something people actually want to engage with.

We’ve put a lot of love into making it both fun and ridiculously fast, especially for L&D teams that are stretched thin. I’d love to keep you in the loop as we roll out and would genuinely appreciate your feedback once it’s live.

Thanks again for the encouragement and yes, SCORM in minutes is real, and it's coming soon :)

Thanks Akiva, That truly means a lot. I’d really appreciate you spreading the word — we built this with trainers and educators in mind, so every connection helps. Grateful for the support!

Looks interesting. A lot of "learning" content is created just to fulfill compliance requirements. The content can be so dull, some disruption potential exists to make high quality engaging content. Looks like you are adding interactivity to video-only content, correct?

What is SCORM? May be helpful to define the acronym.

    1. 1

Thank you! You’re absolutely right — so much learning content ends up being box-ticking and painfully dry. That’s exactly the gap we’re trying to address by making it easy to turn any video into something engaging and interactive, without extra tools or steep learning curves.

Yes, we focus on video-first content and make it SCORM-compliant — which means it can plug right into any Learning Management System (LMS) and still track learner progress. SCORM stands for “Sharable Content Object Reference Model” — it’s basically a global standard for how learning content talks to LMS platforms.

Appreciate you taking the time to explore it — happy to chat more if you're curious!

Thanks Uju! We’ve put a lot into understanding the space and making it possible to create engaging content with just a few clicks — no manual hassle. Really appreciate your support!
