Once upon a time, a recruiter who had worked for two different staffing agencies decided to take the plunge and become a freelance recruiter.

While she was doing well, she wasn't excited about subscribing to yet another service to use a fancy ATS. She was already paying a fortune for LinkedIn Recruiter. So, in the beginning, she used a recruitment-tracker template for spreadsheet software. But it wasn't a definitive solution.

As time passed, she scoured the web for an easy-to-use ATS that didn't require a subscription or was reasonably priced. Unfortunately, she couldn't find one that fit the bill.

Frustrated, she shared her story with her husband, who was a software engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit.

And that's how Kruiters was born, in the loving embrace of a family.
