When you publish your website on Landly, the previous approach was generating whole HTML from all pages and putting it to a folder in server. This caused initially slow user experience when user wants to preview the changes in site instantly.

Starting today now Landly does rendering only when page is visited, which causes a bit more delay compare to previous approach, but will provide way better UX when crafting your website.

For the register process in Landly, I was not using recaptcha or something like that to protect the api from bots.

Today I noticed some sketchy domain emails were trying to register to Landly and I ip banned them after a few minutes, however he/she was trying hard with different VPNs, so I had to disable registering with email temporarily. Users can register via Google though.

I will definitely add recaptcha tomorrow to protect the system from stupid attacks like this.

A few weeks ago, I launched Landly (a website builder) in Producthunt. It completed the day in 4th order, yay! Here are some stuff if you are interested:

• Over the span of 4 days it brought a total of 6.000 unique users
• 120 registered users
• 2 paid user

First 12 hours, I only allowed people to try after a paid trial, so it didn't work out and I disable that feature. My purpose was to try to get users to test&play my product and see if it's suitable for their cases.

Also, a few days ago, I made a terrible mistake. When I was doing some operations on database, unfortunately, some projects affected badly and lost some data, so I extended some of my users' trial period by3 months as compensation. This was a tough and well-learnt lesson for me.

My first target is having 50 paying customers. Landly is a long term project, so no rush.. :)

Landly is ready for Indiehackers :) I'd like to gather some feedback from smart people here.

I am working on Landly for around 2.5-3 months and lately, I dedicated myself full-time to accelerate the development process.
