Laradir is in my opinion a pretty cool app. It's a TALL-stack app. That means it's built with Laravel, Livewire, Alpine.js and Tailwind. It also uses FilamentPHP, an awesome UI library built on top of Livewire that leverages the power of Laravel to the full.
For a while I've been toying with the idea of completely open-sourcing a product and seeing what happens. Laradir is something of the perfect candidate for this because the value in the platform is really in the data not the code.
Today, Laradir hit 2,000 registered users and I may have gone a little crazy: The whole Laradir codebase is source-accessible for just $20. Come see how the sausage gets made!
You can get access to the source via GitHub Sponsors. You also get a bunch of other goodies too.
This could be a great way to dive into a running Laravel app and learn how it's done by someone who's been doing this a long time (and still makes tons of mistakes!)
You'll also be able to PR changes back if that's your jam and raise issues directly against the codebase.
Plus you might sleep better at night knowing that you're supporting a platform that is trying to help thousands Laravel engineers keep on earning.
I hope you'll give it a shot!
