I can see this being especially useful for indie makers. A great product shouldn’t need a huge audience before people have a chance to discover it.

This is a nice alternative to the usual product directories. I like having another place where new tools and interesting projects can actually get discovered.

What I like here is the focus on relevance. Sometimes the most popular product isn’t the one that’s actually useful for you.

This is actually perfect timing for me — I'm currently preparing to launch a small SaaS for developers and freelancers.

One thing I'd love to see is a way for very early products to get some visibility even when they don't already have an audience. That's usually the hardest part of launching something new.

Hi, first of all, congratulations! I really liked the idea i wanted to try it by adding my own product and I noticed a “Keywords” field in the SEO section at the 4. step. If this refers to the meta keywords tag, I’d suggest removing it, as google has not used meta keywords as a ranking factor since 2009

I’ve always found product discovery a little overwhelming because there are so many launches. A more relevant and personalized approach makes a lot of sense.

Simple idea, but it solves a real problem. Getting discovered is one of the hardest parts for a new product, and Launch Nest is tackling that from an interesting angle.

I like the first idea about creating a home for new products, but I believe that the primary challenge would be attracting users in the absence of ongoing launches.

Discovery is easy to achieve on a single count, but creating a habit is not.

I would pay tremendous attention to the behavior of the user after discovering the product; saving, revisiting, sharing, and following would be a sure indication of the value the actual product.

Honest feedback, since you asked. The question this post doesn't answer: why does Launch Nest exist when Product Hunt and a dozen alternatives already do? "A place to launch and get discovered" describes all of them, so a maker has no reason to pick you over the one with more traffic.

Every launch platform has the same problem: only valuable to makers if it has an audience, only valuable to an audience if it has products, neither on day one. "Another place to get discovered" loses to whoever's already big.

The way in is to NOT be for everyone. Pick one niche Product Hunt serves badly and be where they gather. "The launch platform for AI devtools" gives a specific person a reason to choose you. General beats nobody.

Who's the one maker Launch Nest serves better than Product Hunt?

This is actually a good direction. I especially like the focus on helping smaller products get discovered without needing an existing audience. The cold-start problem is probably the hardest part though — if there aren’t enough quality products or active users, the platform can quickly feel empty. I’d focus on building a small but really engaged group first rather than chasing a huge number of listings.

The hard part with any discovery platform isn't the ranking logic, it's the cold start: you need enough good products to make people check back, but you need regular users to make listing worth a founder's time. I'd rather see Launch Nest open with fifty hand-picked products than fully open submissions on day one, density earns trust faster than volume does.
