Version 1.1.0.beta has just been released with a significant new feature: Automatic, high-resolution and 100% private activity logging.

Lazar Focus is primarily a distraction blocker, but the automatic activity logging was a sort of happy accident.

After implementing the distraction blocking, I noticed that I could use much of the code I had written for activity logging, a feature that I am already finding quite useful!

Lazar Focus was initially only available on gumroad.

Kudos to gumroad that starting to sell software is this fantastically easy!

However, Gumroad's payment facility is quite limited, and getting paid-out in South Africa (via PayPal) is complicated by our tricky foreign exchange laws.

To get exposure to a much larger potential audience, and to leverage their highly developed local payout system, I decided to attempt getting Lazar Focus in the Microsoft Store.

After some initial experiments converting the Innosoft installer to MSIX, I knew this was possible, so I buckled down and got to work.

A few days later I was registered with MS to sell in the store, and I had repackaged the app as an MSIX with everything that that entails.

Microsoft Store can now easily buy Lazar Focus and keep it up to date via the store at https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9MZZ7BT5VVN6
