Lazy has won the Golden Kitty Award 2019 for the Smart-home category 🎉

If you wonder what Golden Kitties are, they are awards given by Product Hunt once a year to celebrate all the best products and makers.

What a surprise, honestly. I did not expect so much love around this V1 of Lazy.

Hey @camnuckols thanks for the support and kind words!
The app is built in swift/objective-c.
We are looking for beta testers if you're interested to try, your feedback would be highly valuable!

I'd love to. I doubt I'm a target user though because I don't have any smart devices connected in my home. I'll reach out when I do!

October 16, 2019 Publish a blogpost about Lazy's genesis

I can literally spend hours on creating an automation that will save me a fraction of a second a day.

I concede, it is not the most efficient use of my time but anyone who’s obsessed with productivity tools like me will understand. It’s not so much about saving time that it is about the gratifying pleasure of knowing that everything works as you set out to do.

Only this time though, the process I set out to create didn’t take a few hours but several months. It got to a point where I think I have some explaining to do. Those around me are starting to wonder where I disappeared. I need to share with the world my latest obsession:

June 17, 2019 Why I Created Lazy

It all started by connecting everything at home; lights, fans, curtains, coffee machine, toaster, music, vacuum, etc. I was triggering all these connected objects through the native Shortcut App from my iPhone, but sometimes you want to keep your hands on the keyboard to trigger something. That's why I decided to create Lazy, a macOS menu bar app that allows you to control your home straight from keyboard shortcuts. It has immensely improved my productivity and will do the same for any individual who decides to use it.

I believe you shouldn't have to switch apps and context to take notes. Lazy is a capture tool for knowledge: a universal keyboard shortcut to take note & save information.
