LeadIn Page
Build a resume website in 60 seconds
TL;DR: I built a tiny product that gives you a clean, public resume page that leads to LinkedIn because forwarding my domain to LinkedIn didn’t actually work unless the user was logged in. This is my first small project as I start building more things, and I’d love honest feedback on it!
I built LeadIn because I ran into a problem myself. I care about branding (I work in marketing in the music business), but I don’t want to design or maintain a personal website, I just want a clean place to show my resume that basically is a mirror of my LinkedIn profile. I own my own domain and had it pointing to LinkedIn, but I noticed that if someone wasn’t already logged in, my profile wouldn’t actually show. That felt like it defeated the whole point - if someone has to log in, they might just move on. I wanted a simple, public page that just shows my resume cleanly and then leads people into LinkedIn, without clutter or friction.
I’m using LeadIn as a way to learn by shipping! I've been a member of Indie Hackers for a long time and have been wanting to build a project of my own (that's not for work) and decided to finally take the leap. As a builder who can't code, I'm starting by keeping the scope intentionally small and focused while figuring out how to make a rewarding experience for the user.
I’d love feedback from this community on the idea, the positioning, or anything that feels unclear or unnecessary. If you’re willing to take a look and critique it honestly, I’d really appreciate it 🙌
A couple things I'm working on/goals I have for this product:
Break even with my expenses (roughly 20 annual members)
Test & learn from my GTM strategies, figure out what actually converts
Explore the solopreneur community and possibly find a partner to build with in the future
