Set up the newsletter!

I've read over and over that email is a great communication channel, and the best time to build your audience is ASAP - so I decided to start a short weekly email about topics that I am interested in. I already read articles and watch videos often, and have kept up weekly content posts in the past, so it finally clicked that I could make my first email newsletter.

I set it up with ConvertKit, and so far so good! I have my first email ready to go, it will be sent out in a few days!

Hey @kschmidtdev! I am the founder of BuildFaster which is a website where you can buy beautiful and easy-to-use HTML themes. Starting next week, I will start selling the themes. One that I think would appeal to you is this one. Tell me what you think 😄

Hi @BraydenTW, I'm using ConvertKit for my landing page so I don't think I can apply normal themes to it. Your themes are looking good! BTW there is a typo on your main page (tiem :) ) Nice work and keep at it!

Ok no worries 👍! One question: if there was one html theme you would buy (imagine your dream one), what would it be?

That's a tough thing to answer - I've only used themes for Wordpress and Hugo, but not really a plain HTML one. Do you usually just manually replace the content in a HTML theme? I suppose I would want one that has very clear instructions, is very optimized for mobile, implements modern accessibility standards - I guess stuff that would make it score high on Google Lighthouse.

Yeah you would just have to replace the content and change the images if you want to. My themes I sell all perform in the very high 90s and 100s in the lighthouse test. They are also all optimized for mobile. 😁
