December 11, 2020 Published an article about my first project

So it's been a week since I launched "Learning Story" https://getlearningstory.com.

I think it's a good start for me as an indie maker and I'm already learning a lot. I collected a few takeaways and also just shared the whole process in the blog post: https://dpashutskii.com/project-1-learning-story/

December 2, 2020 Launched my learning community!

I finally completed the MVP of the Learning Story and launched it today: https://app.getlearningstory.com.

I've enjoyed working on this project so much and I am really excited to see what people think about it.

So far I only posted on Twitter (https://twitter.com/guar47/status/1334119026893545472) and some communities about the launch. I will probably launch on PH, Reddit, and HN tomorrow.

I'll come back in a few weeks to share my stats from the launch.

July 14, 2020 Launched a simple landing page

Today I've launched a very simple landing page to start collecting email for my project - https://getlearningstory.com/

It's my first landing page and email form ever so I hope I've done it more/less okay :)

I still have no idea how to distribute this but I'm planning to share it on my socials and communities.

If this project resonates with you, please fell free to subscribe as well!

July 10, 2020 Bought a domain and change the name

My MVP and the landing page for this project are on the way so I decided it's time to chose the name for the product.

I came up with the idea of "Learning Story" and bought a domain www.getlearningstory.com.

I'm super excited to finally launch the landing page and start getting feedbacks and emails for the launch.

I also came up with the Tagline: "Learning journal for everyone".

November 15, 2019 Came up with the idea of Public learning community

I'm always was a fan of the idea of learning in public. I think it adds to your learning process a lot of motivation. Sometimes it even leads to finding new community or like-minded people.

Doing something in public isn't a new idea. You can find great resources like https://getmakerlog.com for making in public, https://cowriters.app/ for writing in public.

A great example of learning in public is #100DaysOfCode and #100DaysOfX challenges on Twitter. They are very popular and they helped me a lot while I was studying coding.

My idea is basically a merger of these products. I want to create a website where you can choose the topic and make a commitment to learning it. I want to add gamification like streaks or achievements so you can maintain your habit.

Each day you should post something you learned on topic and other people can comment and discuss this. Maybe even add roadmaps on certain topics to help people learn them.
