An evening one month ago I subscribed to BetaList. I wrote a really basic description and used a couple of really average images.. then forgot about it. Couple days ago, I realized I had more than 50 active users on LeClapClub!
Lessons learned:
- The Not so Positive: Take every occasion seriously. If I had prepared my BetaList launch, I could have subscribed 3 times more users.
- The Positive: People are actually using my app and getting real likes from LeClub!
Today's work:
- Made it possible for users to actually find the content they have auto-liked. This way they have better control on their automation.
- Improved the "Profiles" view so that at a glance users can see all the rooms they have joined and whether they're liking stuff there, receiving likes, or if they're not subscribed.
Tomorrow's work:
- Make a quick screencast to make sure users get the app. Hopefully one day they won't need it because of a great UI/UX but in the meantime...
- Setup Amplitude free plan because I really feel like Google Tag Manager is super painful.
- Setup a newsletter tool to keep early adopters in touch of each new feature & improvement.
Again, it feels great sharing the updates here. The IndieHackers room is growing steadily. Feel free to join us and get a ton of likes on all your content on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Medium.
