Less Hunt
Weekly newsletter that shares the top 3 tech products 🌶️
We're loving the positive feedback that we've received from our subscribers so far. They like what we're doing and have found the products that we share useful. It's been pretty fun to write the newsletter as well.
Now we just have to find more creative ways to market it.
To be honest, I should've spent more time building example newsletters before I sent the first one out. I realized how well Product Hunt's voting system works. Nearly all of the most voted products truly are the products worth looking at. If you only looked at the top 2 products each day, you might find the best ones.
Now that I've learned that, I may tweak the newsletter to dive deeper into details beyond what the products are. What additional information would be interesting to learn behind the making of a product that doesn't already exist on Product Hunt today?

I threw up 2 posts on Reddit and that was enough to attract Less Hunt's first 10 subscribers. My friend and I plan on alternating writing/marketing each week. I don't want this to be all-encompassing since it's largely a side project. We each plan to spend a couple of hours per week on this, but nothing more.

I love following trends and industries, but I didn't feel like I was gaining anything valuable from Product Hunt's newsletters anymore. Beyond seeing cool new products, I wanted to learn about what industries they were in and what made them valuable.

I was frustrated by the amount of bad products I had to look at on Product Hunt in order to find good ones.
