Couldn't generate enough interest for the Product Hunt for productized service idea.

I think it's a classic example of something that people like, but doesn't necessarily need. Although, I'm glad that I quickly built a MVP and brought it in front of potential users.

An interesting problem arose while I was working on the Product Hunt idea. Many of the potential users I talked to mentioned they were annoyed by the fact that it's difficult to explain to contractors about what they want. Many of them had to cobble together different apps (e.g. Loom, Google Docs) and the conversation can quickly scatter.

Will look into this idea and validate it more.

Product Hunt for productized service.

I have seen several productized service providers asking for this, but it doesn't seem to exist. Also, as a small business/agency myself, I would love to have a central repository of productized services so I can easily search for the best fit.

Couldn't generate traction with the previous idea.

Most small, service-based companies are satisfied with free form solutions such as Google Form and Typeform. Plus, the form building area is pretty saturated.

Pivoting to a different problem within the same industry.

After months of talking to small biz owners, and iterated numerous times to focus deeper on the audience/problem, I finally released the landing page out to the wild. It was an exciting and scary moment. Either people will find this service useful, or they will just ignore it.

After spending 3 years in a service-based company that mainly collected service requests through emails, I realized it can save tremendous time and greatly improve customer experience by automating the ordering process for customized orders. I reached out to small business owners within my circle, and conducted interviews to validate my idea.
