January 26, 2021 Featured on Betalist and Steemhunt

Following our initial release, we were featured on Betalist as a startup to watch and an early user 'hunted' us and nominated us on Steemhunt.

We didn't put a lot of effort into PR to be honest because we are so early stage but some of our happy early adopters were helping us get more exposure. We are going to keep on sharing the message so more people can plan their dream vacations painlessly on Levantr!

January 20, 2021 Finished MVP & Released to First Batch of Users

Levantr finished its MVP with all 3 of its key features: Idea board, Surveys, and Itinerary. We're starting with a web application as group travel planners often use laptops to plan & coordinate.

We are releasing our MVP in batches throughout February so we can iterate effectively.

January 18, 2021 300+ Signups

We got 320 signups for our waitlist within 5 weeks from 17 countries despite only marketing in 2 (US & Australia). This has been the result of several efforts, including marketing campaigns, social media engagement, podcast appearances, reaching out to early adopter communities, etc.

September 29, 2020 Levantr Incorporated

Levantr was officially incorporated as a Delaware C-Corp using Stripe Atlas. Levantr Inc. is an official company! We hired lawyers through Lawbite.co.uk (discounted rates offered if you use Stripe Atlas to incorporate) to get all the paperwork done.

It was a proud moment.

September 20, 2020 Newchip Accelerator

Levantr was accepted into 3 accelerators (Newchip, Founder's Institute, and Antler) and decided to go with Newchip which focuses on helping founders fundraise. As part of their cohort, Levantr will learn growth tactics and participate in 2 demo days.

Congratulation @jenhong! We've applied to a few accelerators and Newchip were the quickest to get back to us. We didn't make the cut for the accelerator but they offered 80% off the online course. Looking for some more info about the "Pre Accelerator" course from others before committing to it.

June 17, 2020 Initial wireframes completed

I decided to turn a side project into an actual business, learned how to use Figma, and created initial wireframes & an explainer video. I used those assets to get into 3 accelerators, hire a UX/UI designer, and onboard a technical cofounder (CTO).

About

I'm always that person that organizes/rallies my friends to plan a trip and it's always like herding casts. There are hundreds of apps that claim to be travel planners, so why are we still using google sheets?
