Almond Clear skincare products

Customers have been asking for a larger size for our Level 2 serum, but funding a new product offering is expensive. For a long time, I compensated for the lack of a larger size by offering 2-packs and 4-packs of our serum. However, it became very clear that I needed to listen to this customer request. I funded the launch of the larger product size through sales profits from 2019. It cost over $25,000 to launch this new product, so I'm very proud that I was able to do this without taking out a loan.
The larger size will be available to customers by the end of March 2020. I'm very excited to see how it's received!

I paid off a minimum of $500 per month (more when revenue allowed), then for the last nine months, I allocated 50% of my monthly owner's compensation towards paying off the loan. It was hard, but I made paying off debt a top priority.
I'm now committed to growing the business via sales, not loans. I'm following the Profit First model.

This was the first month during which over 1,000 products were sold on Amazon. This was a milestone that I'd been aiming for for quite some time. We've continued to sell over 1,000 items per month for seven out of the nine months since this milestone occurred. Our sales are very seasonal- they decrease in the winter months and peak in July- so to barely fall below 1,000 even in our slowest winter season is a big accomplishment.

Miraculously, in late November of 2017, Almond Clear was approved to sell on Amazon (it is very difficult for new skincare products to get approved). I shipped some inventory into Amazon, and on the 20th, I got my first sale. Sales trickled in during January and February, then started to pick up in March. Since then, sales have increased year-over-year consistently.

I was a teacher for 10 years, but I always had entrepreneurial tendencies. I'd thought of many business ideas, but none seemed right. When the inspiration for Almond Clear took hold, it felt totally different, and I was committed to the mission from the getgo.
I started waking up at 5:00 am before teaching to plan my business and start product development. When the end of the school year came around, I resigned from my teaching position and started pursuing Almond Clear full-time.
