February 2, 2026 Solving Transportation Tech Debt: Building a White-Label Limousine Booking System

Traditional transportation businesses are stuck between two bad options:

  1. Outdated legacy systems - Clunky, not mobile-friendly, expensive to maintain

  2. Monthly SaaS subscriptions - Ongoing costs that eat into thin margins

That's why I built LimoFlow - a complete white-label booking platform that businesses can own outright with a one-time license fee.

The Problem I Observed

After consulting with several limousine companies, I discovered:

  • Most still use phone/email booking (inefficient, error-prone)

  • Existing software is often 10+ years old

  • Mobile booking is essential but rarely implemented well

  • Monthly SaaS fees range from $100-$500/month

  • Custom development quotes start at $20,000+

The Solution: LimoFlow

A production-ready platform with:

  • Customer portal - Instant quotes, online booking, secure payments

  • Admin dashboard - Manage bookings, fleet, drivers, revenue

  • Driver portal - Mobile-friendly trip management

  • White-label - Full branding customization

  • One-time license - No recurring fees

Tech Stack Choice: Why Cloudflare?

I built entirely on Cloudflare's platform:

  • Cloudflare Workers: Edge runtime for global performance

  • Cloudflare D1: SQLite database on edge

  • Cloudflare Pages: Static hosting with serverless functions

  • Benefits: Lower costs, faster deployment, better performance than traditional cloud

Total infrastructure cost: <$10/month for typical usage

Business Model

Instead of SaaS subscriptions that burden small businesses, I offer:

  • Basic: $2,500 (source code + docs)

  • Standard: $3,500 (code + deployment help + 30 days support)

  • Premium: $5,000 (full package + custom branding + 12 months updates)

Why one-time pricing?

  1. Transportation businesses prefer predictable costs

  2. Builds trust - they own the software

  3. Aligns with how they traditionally buy software

  4. Higher initial value for me

Features That Matter

  1. Instant Quote Calculator - Google Maps integration for accurate pricing

  2. Stripe Payments - Test/live modes, multiple currencies

  3. Driver Mobile Portal - Real-time trip updates

  4. Fleet Management - Vehicle inventory with images

  5. Booking Analytics - Daily revenue, pending bookings stats

Goals & Challenges

Goals:

  • Month 1: 2 license sales

  • Month 3: 5 license sales ($12,500+ revenue)

  • Month 6: 15 license sales ($40,000+ revenue)

Challenges:

  1. Reaching traditional, non-technical business owners

  2. Educating market on "one-time license" vs "monthly SaaS"

  3. Building trust for high-ticket sales

Questions for Indie Hackers

  1. Marketing to traditional businesses: Best channels?

  2. Pricing feedback: One-time vs subscription for B2B?

  3. Sales process: Tips for $2,500+ software sales?

  4. Technical: Experience with Cloudflare Workers for similar products?

Congrats on the launch, looks solid. How are you currently thinking about acquiring early users and gathering feedback?

    1. 1

Hey, thanks a lot! Really appreciate it.

For early users, I'm starting with a pretty direct approach: reaching out to small and mid-sized limo companies directly on LinkedIn and through industry forums. I'm offering a few of them a free setup in exchange for their honest feedback and a case study.

I'm also partnering with a couple of fleet management software companies for integrations, which helps get in front of their customers.

Do you have any experience in B2B onboarding for niche industries? Always open to ideas!

About

Transportation companies struggle with outdated booking systems. They need modern, mobile-friendly platforms but lack technical resources. I built LimoFlow to give companies a complete, ready-to-deploy booking system.
