LinkedResume

The problem started with a personal frustration.

Every time I applied for a job I did the same thing — opened my LinkedIn, opened a Word doc, and spent the next 2–3 hours manually rewriting the same experience I'd already spent years curating online. Then I'd send it off and hear nothing back.

Eventually I figured out why. 75% of resumes are rejected by ATS software before any human reads them. Mine was one of them. Not because I wasn't qualified. Because my resume wasn't built for the system that screens it first.

The frustrating part: everything a strong resume needed was already sitting on my LinkedIn profile. I was just rewriting it manually every single time.

So I built LinkedResume.

What it does:

You connect your LinkedIn profile, paste the job description you're applying for, and LinkedResume generates a clean, ATS-optimized, role-tailored resume in seconds. No blank page. No copy-pasting. No reformatting.

You also get an ATS score showing exactly where your resume stands — broken down by keywords, action verbs, formatting, and measurable impact — before you apply. Plus AI recruiter feedback that tells you specifically what to fix, ranked by priority.

How we built it:

We used Next.js for the full stack, Claude Code as our AI backbone throughout the build, and Canva for all early marketing assets before we had a design system.

Zero paid ads budget. Entire go-to-market has been organic — LinkedIn content, building in public, and talking to as many job seekers and recruiters as we could find.

Where we are today:

We launched on Product Hunt today. We have real users generating real resumes. Early feedback has been strong on the ATS scorer and the AI review panel — people genuinely didn't know their resume score before and find it eye-opening.

What we're still figuring out: conversion from free to paid, and how to reach job seekers at the exact moment they need us — which is right when they see a job they want.
