Get your SaaS listed on curated directories

August 8, 2026 I spent hours copy-pasting my SaaS info into many directory forms. Here’s what I built so you never have to do it.

Hey Indie Hackers! 👋

During the launch of my previous SaaS, I ran straight into the classic early-stage distribution dilemma: I needed backlinks and domain authority fast to even stand a chance at ranking on Google.

The standard advice? Submit your product to dozens of startup directories, software launch sites, and tech indices.

Sounds simple enough until you actually sit down to do it.

It felt like a massive waste of energy—time that should have gone toward talking to early users, fixing bugs, or shipping new features.

When I looked into outsourcing it, I found two frustrating options:

  1. Automated bot tools: Cheap, but they blast your URL across low-quality spam sites, which risks search engine penalties and results in broken listings.

  2. Expensive marketing agencies: Overpriced retainers that refuse to share login details, leaving you with zero control.

Building Listifying

To fix this for myself and other makers, I built Listifying—a productized service that turns that multi-day data entry nightmare into a 5-minute form.

Instead of spending your weekend copy-pasting across dozens of sites, you fill out your details once on Listifying. We manually submit your SaaS across top startup platforms and deliver a clean spreadsheet report containing:

  • Live URLs for every approved submission.

  • Full account login credentials, giving you 100% ownership of every profile created.

  • SEO-safe manual placement to make sure categories and tags are accurately set by a human.

Distribution is hard enough as a solo founder. You shouldn't have to spend your first launch week acting like a data-entry bot just to get your initial SEO jumpstart.

I'd love to hear how you guys handle your initial launch submissions. Do you still do them manually one by one, or do you skip directories altogether? Let's chat in the comments!

The interesting part here isn’t the submission itself — it’s the ownership angle. Giving founders the live URLs and account credentials makes this feel much less like a black-box SEO service.

I’m curious how you decide which directories are actually worth submitting to, rather than just maximizing the number of listings.

Choosing directories with high-DR and proven past records. These directories tend to help with backlinks.

That makes sense. I’d be more interested in whether those high-DR directories actually produce meaningful referral traffic or qualified users, rather than just improving the backlink profile.

August 8, 2026 Not all directories for backlinks are a good choice.

A typical mistake many founders do is that they try and list their product on all the small and big directories for more reach. That is simply not how it works.

There are many directories out there which only provides with a backlink (can be a just a backlink) and no visitors. This is quite normal as there are not much directories which are good enough to get a backlink and early traffic.

Submitting on these directories will just take your huge amount of time and no benefits will be there if you just submit and not see where you submit.

Listifying helps you here. We list your saas to 20-40+ directories which actually matters. You do not have to worry about manually submitting your directories and invest that much time in submission. We provide you with a report at your email wherein you see every listing and their links. We also provide credentials so that you can login there and see too.

What is your distribution strategy for saas?
