Lists & Notes
Private, offline note taking & to-do list manager for Mac
A private, offline note taking & list manager for Mac.
I'm not a developer by background but I've spent 20+ years in digital across a mix of technical support, team management, and helping small businesses with their web presence. But I've always believed technology should help people do more with what they're already good at, not replace them. When AI coding tools matured enough to let someone with my experience actually build software, I started making the tools I'd always wished existed.
Lists & Notes came from a simple frustration — every note taking app I tried either wanted a monthly subscription, required an account, or stored my data on someone else's servers. I just wanted something local and simple.
What it does:
Create simple to-do lists with priorities and checkable items
Write notes in Markdown with a side-by-side live preview
Organise everything with categories and subcategories
Export to PDF or Word
Optional AI writing tools (grammar, summaries, writing improvement) using your own API key
What makes it different:
Runs entirely offline on your Mac — no account, no cloud
Notes stored as plain Markdown files you can export
One-time purchase, no subscription
Auto-backups built in

This is the third macOS app I've shipped under Tiong Creative. Would love any feedback — especially from others building local-first tools or using AI to bridge the gap between product thinking and code.
About
I wanted a private note taking and list app that didn't need an account, a subscription, or cloud storage. So I built one that runs offline on your Mac, one-time purchase, your data stays yours.
