We're excited to introduce LitCoupon to the
awesome IndieHackers community!

LitCoupon is a website founded in 2019 where users can find online coupons that actually work. Like many of you, we love discounts! But we found that many coupon sites carry invalid offers, which made it difficult to sift through what works and what doesn't. LitCoupon was created to solve this problem.

We're currently a team of 2, both with a coding background, so automation has been key in our decision-making process. The business model is simple -- affiliate marketing i.e. sign up for affiliate networks, display active coupons, attract users to our website, and earn a commission whenever they make a purchase. This is, however, easier said than done.

The main challenge we're facing is SEO. Having developed a sophisticated backend system that can automatically fetch, refresh, and display relevant offers to our site is one thing, driving traffic to it is another. The deeper we got, the more we realized that coupon sites are notoriously difficult to rank on the first page of search engines.

Nevertheless, this has not stopped us from progressing towards our goal. We're learning more about affiliate marketing, the online coupon industry, and best practices for SEO. It's been quite a ride so far, but we're enjoying every minute of it. Join us on our journey to become the biggest platform where customers find coupons that actually work.
