February 2, 2020 Sad news – Lito shutdown 😢

We have a sad announcement to make.

We've shut down Lito today on February 2nd, 2020.

Unfortunately, Lito hasn't been successful enough to keep it going. We couldn't get the product to really take off – as a side project – in the two years since we launched it. Growth has stagnated, and we haven't been able to make Lito profitable.

We want to take the chance to thank all of you for your trust and business! All your signups were what kept us motivated and gave us hope that Lito could change the way so many of us work for the better.

If you are looking for a replacement here's a list of some nice products in the same space – go check them out!

  • YAC
  • Tandem
  • Swivel
  • PukkaTeam
  • Sneek

If none of those above is a fit, please feel free to reach out. We are more than happy to support you in finding a new voice chat and screen collaboration tool for your team.

Thanks so much for a bit more than 2 years of endless learning and tremendous support! The journey of building Lito wouldn't have been what it was without all of you – remote workers.

All the best,
Sammy, Simon, and Dominik

October 3, 2019 Launched Lito for Desktop

We launched Lito back in January this year. Since then, your valuable feedback helps us to constantly improve Lito to make it the best experience talking with your remote teammates daily.

While Lito was initially web-based only, many of you have asked for an installable application, and we listened.

I’m thrilled to announce. We’re launching Lito for Desktop today! 🎉 It’s available for Mac, Windows, and Linux.

Having a desktop application accompanying the web application brings two new features to Lito. We believe these new features make Lito the best app for remote team collaboration.

  1. 👆 Shared cursors - Guide your teammate’s attention during screen sharing with shared cursors. Never have these “No, one left… Damn it! You missed it” conversations again.

  2. 🗣 Push-To-Talk - Block out the noise by using Push-To-Talk when working form a noisy environment or if you like to keep everything that’s happening around you private. The installable application enables you to use Push-To-Talk even if Lito has no focus.

We can't wait to hear what you think about Lito for Desktop. 😊

March 18, 2018 Lito got user accounts

"I want to let you know that we made some changes to Lito recently. With the latest update we implemented user accounts – a highly requested feature. This means your signup was transferred to a full user account by the system. You can login here with your email and the password you set for the first team you created. Heads up you are not able to change your password yet, but we are working on that for the next update."

Was an email that was sent to all signups on that day.

About

We know remote work is tough. Waiting for replies, feeling left out, not knowing who is working at the moment, and struggling to find a time to meet are a hassle. 😩 That's why we build Lito.
