Lockish
Lock any app with Touch ID
I kept handing my MacBook to mates and immediately thinking "please don't open Messages." macOS lets you lock the whole machine but there's no way to lock individual apps. I looked for a solution and nothing existed that wasn't clunky or subscription-based. So I built Lockish — pick the apps you want locked, authenticate with Touch ID to open them. That's it. I use it every day now, especially for Messages, Photos and banking apps. It's a one-time purchase, no subscriptions, and it just works quietly in the background.
About
I was lending my MacBook to friends and realising anyone could just open Messages, Photos, or my banking app. macOS lets you lock the whole machine but not individual apps. So I built Lockish - tap a lock, Touch ID, done
