Clean and shareable local dev URLs β€” no config, no terminal

Hey Indie Hackers πŸ‘‹

Like many of you, I work on a lot of side projects β€” sometimes simultaneously πŸ˜….

Jumping between localhost:3000, 5173, 8080, trying to test on my phone or show a client something quickly… it always felt more painful than it should be.

  • I’d forget which port ran what

  • Sharing a preview meant generating a new ngrok link each time

  • SSL issues broke stuff like OAuth flows

  • Testing on other devices = IP address hunt + manual setup

So I built Loco β€” a small macOS app that lets you:

βœ… Use clean .local domains like myapp.local instead of localhost:3000

βœ… Access your site from any device on your network (phone, tablet, etc.)

βœ… Get automatic HTTPS for every local project

βœ… Generate public share links (like ngrok, but simpler and built-in)

No terminal. No config. Just works.

And honestly? It’s made my dev life way smoother.

I work on way too many side projects πŸ˜… & constantly switch between apps on different ports. Testing on mobile or sharing previews was always a hassle β€” IPs, ngrok, certs. I built Loco to make it all just work.
