October 3, 2023 Redesign Time!

To make the site a little bit more visually appealing, I've taken the day to redesign the homepage.
Hopefully this will improve conversions!

I decided to go with a playful colour scheme, increase the font sizes, and reduce the amount of copy. Hopefully, this is more pleasing and easy to parse.
I am horrendous with design, so please if you have any feedback, let me know.

Hey, I am not sure what it looked before, but generally think that less copy and more whitespace is a good idea. I know I always struggle with keeping the copy down, but always end up with better looking design when I force myself to be less verbose.

The main feedback I think would be good for you to consider is color contrast for accessibility (plus I think color contrast issues negatively impact SEO). The tool I use for this is https://webaim.org/resources/contrastchecker/. Generally, you want every word to be at least AA accessible.

If you love your color scheme, try to change to a dark text color (this doesn't always look better to me) or try to incorporate the playful colors in other ways don't impact readability of the text.

September 19, 2023 PHP Support

As promised, there is another library package - this time for PHP.
You can check out the full announcement post here: https://loginllama.app/blog/announcing-php

At the moment it just supports vanilla PHP but hoping to support laravel and other frameworks soon.

I'm hoping these posts and the packages are a good boost for the loginllama brand

September 12, 2023 Node.JS Support

In an effort to make it even easier to integrate with LoginLlama, I’m happy to announce there is now a package for Node.Js.

You can find it on NPM here: https://www.npmjs.com/package/loginllama

The package not only provides a function to send the customers IP address and user agent manually. But, it also allows for passing ExpressJS request objects.

In this way, you don’t need to worry how to fetch the customers information. The package does it for you!

I posted a longer explainer post here: https://loginllama.app/blog/nodejs

September 6, 2023 New customers and Updated documentation

I've updated the developer documentation with some new parameters!

https://developers.loginllama.app/operation/operation-check-login

We now have a way of providing the expected parameters from the user. For example, you can notify loginllama to say that we expect that the customer lives in X location and it should be N time of day.
We then compare that against the actual login data for that customer to decide if it's suspicious.

I also had a great call with a potential enterprise customer. What they loved was the flexibility of the integration. They could email, provide a captcha prompt or both!

July 27, 2023 Launch Day!

On a whim I decided to get some feedback and customers and launch on ProductHunt. I usually big things up in my mind to make sure they go perfectly. But instead, I just wanted to launch - just keep shipping.

And so, the listing is live now!

So far there has been some good ideas and feature requests. Upvotes appreciated.

What about the detection process latency and qps it can support?

    1. 1

The API usually takes around 200-400ms. I'm working to reduce this down further.

Queries per second wise, I've benchmarked to over 500 without breaking a sweat (because it runs serverless).

May 25, 2023 New blog post!

I love treating a blog as a second brain. It's what I do on my own personal blog.
I've collected a list of security tools for small saas business. Most are free!

I've done this blog to boost SEO and marketing. So far, with a single blog post I've seen a big rise in traffic.

May 8, 2023 Launch Day

I'm finally ready to launch https://loginllama.app/

It's a quick and easy AI-powered API used to detect suspicious logins in your systems.

I created it after seeing a gap in the market for login security systems that I've had to build multiple times for different clients whilst contracting. This API takes all that effort away!

Let me know what you think - there is a free-forever plan with a 1,000 request credits per month :)

I discovered this problem after having to build similar systems for clients as a freelancer. I wanted a simple system that could take that pain away from me at a low cost!
