I did this so far by sharing my site on some relevant subreddits and social media channels.
Interestingly, tumblr is of the highest converting channels for new email subscribers.
Need to fix some styling issues and figure out a better way to handle file downloads that are over 100mb.
Next milestone goal is 1000 email subscribers and to improve organic search traffic.
Just a small side project.

I like starting new projects before finishing the last project.
Learning and recognizing this bad habit in myself helped me focus on completing and shipping this project today.
Still some styling issues that need fixing. Now to get some traffic and see what happens...

How do you use Tumblr for getting people on your email list?
I already have a small following on tumblr, so that helps.
When I make a post on tumblr, I make the image clickable / link with a call to action to the website and the text in the description also is a link to the site.
Most people use tumblr in the dashboard view, this is why this works.
