Loki Le Dev - YouTube channel
A YouTube channel about robotics and high tech startups.
After making 11 videos, one per week! I reached 250 subscribers.
I found some facebook and linkedin groups that are interested by robotics. I searched for groups about "AI", "Robotics", "IOT", "Machine Learning", "ROS" etc. And shared my first video in them.
It helped me grow the channel and bring people that I didn't know directly.
However after discussing with some people, it seems like the content is too technical, even tough I like to explain things. I'm wondering whether I should make the content less technical but more engaging and fun. I could concentrate on making progress on the robot and just showing the progress and creating fail compilations.
After working for one month on making the 3 first videos in advance I finally launched the first video!
I overcame the fear of filming myself and talking alone in my bathroom. I did 3 retakes and 2 edits of the first video before being satisfied by it.
Since I had around 500 contacts on linkedin I thought it was good place to start, so I made a post announcing the start of the project.
It worked well, it was seen more than 7k times! And a lot of people made nice and encouraging comments!
The first video already brought like 120 subcribers!
But the next ones were really hard to get! It's hard to keep the channel growing! I really need to find each first subscriber one by one and make the channel known.

I've thought about what project could I work on for a long time as a side project and never be bored about it, and that would eventually bring me some additional revenue.
Since I'm passionate about robotics, and also I spend much time on youtube watching people do cool project and educational videos. I've decided to combine both and start a robotics project while documenting the progress on youtube!

About
I'm a robotics developer and I wanted to build a project where I can express my creativity and bring together complex technology. In the meantime I've always wanted to create a youtube channel so I mixed both ideas.
