After month or two of prototype development, I launched Lori's website with purpose of validation by collecting mailing list.

It's is my first site launched on custom domain, so was a pretty good experience. Currently is hosted on GitHub Pages, so my abilities are kind of limited, but everything in time.

The next steps would be to integrate a blog and optimize it for SEO

For a long time I had the idea of starting a side project.

For such endeavour I had to come up with a problem worth solving. It was long process of thinking day and night, ideas and ideas which somehow always ended up in the trash bin. Who would have know that maybe I should look closer. Ask my inner circle about things that may be improved for them to be more efficient in their work.

My girlfriend works as a Digital Marketing Specialist, mostly social media. She's using design tools on daily basis, but the process is almost always the same: Open the design tool, check online for correct dimensions for the platform, find images online, design your post, save it in PC, upload the file to Drive or Dropbox to share with the team.
I identified several problems with the process, which could be greatly improved:

1. Using many tools to accomplish one (seemingly) simple task.

2. Lots of times there are repetitive designs which follow template. Most of the design tools don't support user-designed templates, so in order to reuse the design, she is changing the design from before, instead of just applying it to the new design.

3. Keeping brand identity is challenging because most of the popular online design tools don't support custom fonts.

4. She downloads the design locally then uploads it in Drive / Dropbox.

Lori was born.

Lori is cute slow loris which saves digital marketers precious time and nerves. Comes in a shape of Chrome Extension which solves the above problems.
Users are able to start designing easily by clicking the extension button or right clicking on any image on the web. They never have to worry again about correct social media dimensions, because Lori is always up to date. Using intuitive design tool, users are able to create engaging social media posts, while keeping the brand identity by using brand design assets and custom fonts. Users can also save designs as smart templates for easy reusing for later designs.
