We hated chasing potential members so they activate (=pay) their membership. Before, they had to sign up with their email on our website (Weblow), fill a form so we can see if they would fit with the community (Typeform), and if the form was good we were inviting them to join and pay (WhatsApp). That last part was very painful. Now, we offer a 7-day trial, but we ask for their payment details right away.

Technically it's the Mighty Network app but this allow us to be on our members phone so it's easier for them to have convos with the community and book their events. A few glitches or features are missing vs the desktop platform but overall it was a great move!

We have noticed members and non-members having hard times to understand what our rendezvous (events) are about. We have decided to revamp entirely the way we display our rendezvous. There's now a fairly comprehensive description of our online gatherings so members (especially new members) and non-members (such as visitors) could see the value better.

We used to invite new members to book for a rendezvous (event) when they just subscribed to our membership. This would mean they would show up to a rendezvous with no clue of how it works (guidelines, etiquette etc.). In addition of creating a playbook all members can read and comment, we have decided the first step after the subscription would now to follow a 30' onboarding session where we can show them around, explain how LVRSNFRNDS works and answer all the questions they may have.

Adding a 'how it works'/price/testimonials sections so it's now easier for visitors to understand what's LVRSNFRNDS is about and how it cost to join. We're still struggling to make our community's goal and value clear to newbies but it's a start as we have noticed better conversion rates.

We have changed our vetting process by killing the group video and muscling the vetting form. The video call was time consuming and not very efficient to measure the quality of an applicant vs a better vetting form. Plus, a video call is a lot of friction for potential members.
