What I’m building

LynxWhisper is a lightweight, self-hosted chat platform for people who want full control over their communications.

• No cloud dependency.

• No user profiling.

• No data stored outside the server owner’s infrastructure.

It’s designed for small teams, private communities, and individuals who prefer infrastructure ownership over convenience.

Why I’m building it

In Europe, increasing regulatory pressure around chat monitoring is creating demand for communication tools that are not centrally controlled.

Most privacy tools still rely on centralised infrastructure.

LynxWhisper flips that: you host it, you control access, you own the data.

Current Stage

Discovery → Early Validation

Lynx Whisper started from a simple concern: private communication is becoming harder to guarantee.

Across Europe and other regions, proposals around message scanning, backdoors, and “chat control” are steadily normalizing the idea that private conversations should be inspectable by default. Even when well-intentioned, this shifts the internet away from privacy-by-design toward surveillance-by-design.

I wanted to build a chat platform that treats privacy as a core architectural principle, not a marketing feature.

Lynx Whisper is lightweight, dependency-minimal, and built to give full control over data flow, infrastructure, and security. No heavy frameworks, no hidden third-party services, no unnecessary telemetry. Just a fast, modular, real-time communication layer focused on performance, simplicity, and user trust.

It exists for people who still believe private communication should actually be private, and for developers who want transparent, controllable systems instead of opaque platforms.

This is both a product and a technical experiment: proving that modern real-time apps can be fast, scalable, and privacy-first without massive frameworks or data-hungry architectures.
