YouTube for News
I added a dynamically powered Trending Topics section to the top of maagnit.com . It uses data based on incoming links and popular videos to classify the top stories at the moment and show all the videos about that story. Also added it too mobile, but not sure if it looks out of place there or not.
After 3 months of development and iteration, maagnit.com has finally launched! maagnit hopes to be the YouTube for news and help to surface news and politics videos for both the left and right sides of the spectrum, as well as to surface both independent and mainstream news sources.

Looks great. Going to set this as my homepage.
It's interesting to see both sides at once to double check if I'm being brain washed :)
Suggestion: I'm from the UK but cannot see any news sources from there, it would be good to select my country and see the left/right sources from that country perhaps.

Also it would be good to be able to click on a tag and see the left/right for that (e.g. https://maagnit.com/m/carlosghosn)

Hi Richard, thanks a lot for checking out the site and making it your homepage!
I have a nice update coming in the next 10-15 hours or so which will show Trending Topics at the top of the main page, so it will be even easier to see what's happening.

Yes, it's definitely US focused right now, but I really like your idea of a country pulldown. Especially since Australian Wildfires, Iran, and Brexit are big issues this month and they're not US issues.. Right now I only have US sources, and they don't cover them as well.. I always struggled with how to get international coverage but, I really think your idea of a pulldown, that changes where the Sources come from can be a brilliant solution. It doesn't change the topic list, but it changes the sources. Love it! Going to do this for sure, just give me a few weeks to get down my list of items ;)

Yes, I totally feel you about a left/right control on the individual 'maagnit' (topic) pages! I definitely have this in mind, that's actually the original idea of the site. I want to see what Left and Right are saying about Impeachment, or about Brexit, or about Iran. I plan to add that later this week!
