As a Magic Sort player myself, I noticed that many difficult levels weren't about luck—they required careful planning. After getting stuck on challenging puzzles and seeing other players face the same frustration, I realized there wasn't an easy way to get intelligent, level-specific help. That inspired me to build AI Magic Sort Solver, a tool that gives players practical guidance instead of leaving them to rely on trial and error. Many Magic Sort players spend a long time repeating random moves, restarting levels, or searching for solutions that don't match their exact puzzle. Since every board is different, generic tips often aren't enough. AI Magic Sort Solver solves this by letting players upload a screenshot of their own level. The AI detects the puzzle state, allows players to make corrections if needed, and generates a step-by-step solution tailored to that specific board. The goal is to help players save time, reduce frustration, and enjoy the game more. This project went through many iterations. I focused on making screenshot detection more accurate, improving support for special game objects, and giving users the ability to manually edit the detected board whenever AI wasn't perfect. Throughout development, I tested different workflows and refined the experience based on real gameplay scenarios. The result is a tool that's designed to be simple, practical, and reliable—helping players move from a screenshot to a clear solution with as little friction as possible.

I expected another basic puzzle solver, but Magic Sort Solver surprised me. Being able to upload a screenshot of the exact level and get a practical move sequence makes it much more useful when you're genuinely stuck. It feels less like cheating and more like having someone point out the move you were overlooking.

What I like here is that you're not trying to make the game easier—you’re trying to reduce the frustration that comes from being stuck without removing the puzzle entirely.

That balance is harder to get right than it looks.
